The Henry H01544 Single Shot is a classic break-open rifle chambered in 44 Rem Mag, built around a blued steel receiver and a 22″ round barrel. This full-size single-shot rifle is designed for right-handed shooters and embodies the simple, time-tested single-shot design.

The action is a traditional break-open design; simply hinge the barrel down to load a single round directly into the chamber. With a 1-round capacity, the H01544 is purpose-built for deliberate, unhurried shooting. The barrel features a 1:20 twist rate and carries a rich blued metal finish, paired with an American walnut stock finished in a brown/tan tone with a curved pistol grip wrist and a solid rubber recoil pad.

Iron sights consist of a brass bead front and an adjustable leaf rear, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for optional scope mounting. The rifle uses a standard trigger with no external manual safety. Instead, Henry incorporates a rebounding hammer that cannot contact the firing pin unless the trigger is deliberately pulled, and an integrated interlock system that prevents the barrel from opening with the hammer cocked, or closing with the hammer cocked while open.

Weighing 6.96 lbs with an overall length of 37.50″, the H01544 is a well-balanced, full-size rifle ready for the field or the range.
