Upgrade Your Revolver for Modern Defensive Use

The XS DXW2 Night Sights with Adjustable Rear are purpose-built to give your Smith & Wesson revolver modern visibility, rugged precision, and 24/7 confidence. Whether you’re carrying for personal defense, exploring dangerous back country, or just want tighter groups at the range, this sight set is the upgrade your wheel gun deserves.

At the core of the sight system is a tritium powered front sight. It is surrounded by our EMBER technology, a photoluminescent glow dot for maximum contrast in low light and bright conditions. Color options include:

  • Orange – Maximum visibility in bright daylight, perfect for outdoor shooting.
  • Green – Balanced performance in all lighting conditions, the most versatile option.
  • White – Highest contrast for all environments, ideal for indoor and low-light transitions. White is reflective, not photoluminescent.
  • Yellow (Match Drilled Only) – Superior glow in low light, best for dark environments.

Pair that front sight with a CNC-machined steel adjustable rear sight, and you’ve got an extremely durable, shooter-tuned platform for accuracy and speed under stress.

Choose Your Front Dot Size: Big or Standard

Big Dot: If your priority is speed and visibility under stress, the XS Big Dot delivers. The oversized front sight pulls your eye in fast, making it ideal for self-defense, close-quarters scenarios, and extreme back country situations. The dot-the-‘i’ sight picture lets you align and fire fast without overthinking it.

Standard Dot: For shooters who want more precision at greater distances, the smaller Standard Dot provides a refined aiming point while still offering the same 24/7 glow and express sight picture. It’s a perfect choice for target shooting, hunting, or anyone who prefers a finer sight picture without sacrificing visibility.

Installation Options: Pre-Drilled vs. Match-Drilled

Pre-Drilled: Designed for the confident DIYer, pre-drilled sights are ready to install with basic tools. No drill or mill work needed. Just steady hands, thread locker, possible file, and a clean bench. This is the go-to option for most shooters.

Match-Drilled: For those wanting a factory-tight fit with zero movement, the match-drilled option requires a gunsmith or machinist with access to a drill press or other tools. It’s more time-intensive but offers the most precise front sight installation possible.

Note: Both versions pair with the included CNC-machined adjustable rear sight. Front sight fitment is the only difference.

Installation Instructions

Rear sight installation involves removing the factory windage screw and staking the included replacement nut, which may require a spanner wrench or staking tool.

In the middle to latter part of 2025, we noticed that the windage screws were stripping the threads on the rear blade when attempting to break them off. The only way to disassemble the windage screw from the windage nut was to drill out the staked portion. We highly recommend doing this with a drill press rather than a handheld drill motor. Gunsmith installation recommended.
