This versatile chassis for Howa Mini Action rifles, including the popular Howa 1500 Mini Action platform, creates a highly manoeuvrable “backpack rifle.” By pairing Howa’s scaled-down, lightning-fast Mini Action with a lightweight polymer chassis and a Mil-Spec folding adapter, it is a premier choice for New Zealand bush stalking, vehicle-based pest control, or navigating steep alpine terrain where every gram counts.

The centrepiece of this build is the EXCL Lite synthetic chassis, which provides a completely free-floated barrel channel for consistent sub-MOA accuracy while keeping the rifle’s dry weight exceptionally low. This Howa folding chassis is equipped with a Mil-Spec folding stock adapter, allowing the rifle to quickly collapse down into a compact profile that fits easily into a hunting pack or behind a truck seat. The rear section features a fully adjustable LUTH-AR utility buttstock, allowing you to customise both the length of pull and comb height to establish perfect eye alignment with your optics.
