The Traditions 1858 Army is a faithful reproduction of the historic Remington New Model Army single-action percussion revolver. Built around a brass frame with a blued octagon barrel, this classic black powder sidearm delivers the look, weight, and handling of the original mid-19th century sidearm carried by both Union and Confederate forces.

Chambered in 44 Caliber, the revolver uses standard 11 percussion caps for ignition and holds 6 shots in its revolving cylinder. The 8″ octagon barrel gives the gun its distinctive profile and pairs with fixed top-strap and post sights for traditional cap-and-ball shooting. The break-open action simplifies loading by allowing the cylinder to swing out for cap placement and ball seating, eliminating the need for a separate loading lever.

The grip is fitted with smooth walnut grips, and the package is completed with a brass trigger guard, blued barrel and cylinder, and an overall length of 14.50″ at a weight of approximately 2.75 lbs. Whether you are a black powder shooter, a collector of Old West reproductions, or a reenactor, the 1858 Army is both a beautiful display piece and a rugged field revolver.
