Description

The Weatherby Orion I is a classic 20 gauge over-and-under shotgun built on a traditional boxlock break-open action. Chambered for 3″ shells, it safely fires all 2-3/4″ and 3″ loads of the proper gauge, making it equally at home chasing upland birds, breaking clays, or working the field.

A low-profile forged steel receiver carries a blued finish that pairs with the 28″ blued vent-rib barrels. A simple brass bead front sight sits atop the rib for fast target acquisition, and the tang safety provides instinctive operation. The barrels are threaded for the multi-choke system and ship with three chokes: Full, Improved Cylinder, and Modified.

The fixed stock is carved from rich Grade A walnut with a satin finish and a traditional Prince of Wales grip, shaped for right-hand shooters. At just 6.20 lbs and 45.50″ overall, the Orion I points naturally and carries comfortably through a long day in the field. Holding 2 rounds – one per chamber of the over-and-under configuration – the Orion I delivers the timeless two-shot experience.
